Survival Horror Game Dying Light: The Beast Out Now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S
The latest entry to the Dying Light series, Dying Light: The Beast, is now out on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players can now return as Kyle Crane on a mission to find The Baron to exact his revenge.
Before its release, the game had a very successful pre-order count of more than 1 million copies. Upon reaching the milestone, developers rewarded their fans by releasing the game early. From its previous release date of Sept. 19, it was moved to Sept. 18.
The game’s success doesn’t stop there. Dying Light: The Beast is currently celebrating a generally favorable review score from Metacritic. Its peak concurrent player count on Steam has also reached 89,927, showing just how popular the game is.
Additionally, SteamDB marked it as the current number one global top seller, beating Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2. Dying Light: The Beast had also received Steam Deck verification, allowing players with the console to play it on the go.
Dying Light: The Beast was supposed to be a DLC for Dying Light 2: Stay Human, but was released as a standalone after the team had pivoted, mentioning that short standalones are the future of games. A PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version of the game is expected to be released late this year.
