Crash Bandicoot to land its own animated series on Netflix
The Crash Bandicoot animated series is in the works at Netflix, as was reported by What’s on Netflix on Oct. 27, 2025.
Crash Bandicoot is a video game franchise, originally developed by Naughty Dog as an exclusive for Sony’s PlayStation console, and produced by Universal Interactive, which later became known as Vivendi Games and, in 2008, merged with Activision, which currently owns and publishes the franchise.
The games of the series center on the adventures of a genetically enhanced bandicoot named Crash, created by the mad scientist Doctor Neo Cortex.
While the initial game of the franchise, titled simply Crash Bandicoot, was released in 1996, the latest installment, Crash Team Rumble, launched in 2023, becoming the 23rd title in the game series.
Crash Bandicoot’s solo project will technically mark his second appearance on Netflix, as previously he had a guest role in the first and third seasons of Skylanders Academy, an animated television series produced by TeamTO and Activision Blizzard Studios based on the Skylanders series.
