EA revenue continues to decline, net income down 53% year-over-year
On Oct. 28, 2025, Electronic Arts (EA) published its second-quarter financial reports for the fiscal year 2026. According to the company, its net revenue was $1.839 billion, which is a 53% decrease from last year’s second quarter, which was $1.309 billion.
Additionally, net bookings for the quarter are also down. It totaled $1.818 billion, which is a 13% decrease year-over-year. The company mentioned that this decrease was due to College Football 25’s massively successful release last year.
Despite dwindling revenue and bookings, EA remains positive regarding the games that they currently have up. For example, Apex Legends has been recorded to have grown by double-digit percentages year-over-year.
EA Sports Madden NFL 26 and EA Sports FC 26 HD are also performing quite well, with the latter having its net bookings this quarter rise in the mid-single digits. Both Skate. and Battlefield 6 is also mentioned in the report, with EA remarking that the two had a successful launch.
It’s worth noting that this financial report will be one of the final ones that EA will publicly publish, as the company was acquired privately by PIF, Silver Lake and Affinity Partners. This means that the company will become a private entity.
