Ryu Ga Gokotku’s Yakuza Kiwami 3 Reportedly Leaked Before Official Announcement
Ryu Ga Gotoku’s unannounced Yakuza Kiwami 3 was supposedly leaked on the studio’s website. The studio website showed an entry for the game on the website, listed alongside the first two Yakuza remakes: Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2. The website posting has since been removed, but screen shots of the posting have since begun circulating online, increasing speculation regarding the third Yakuza game remake.
As of writing, the third remake had not been officially confirmed outside of this leak. VGC speculates that the game was planned to be revealed during Ryu Ga Gotoku’s livestream event scheduled for Sept. 24 at 20:00 PT, ahead of the Tokyo Game Show.
The Yakuza franchise is known for its action combat and unique storytelling. The previous remake, Yakuza Kiwami 2, was released in 2017, with ports for consoles coming at a later date. The Nintendo Switch 2 is receiving a port of the game on Nov. 13, 2025. As for Yakuza Kiwami 3, the platforms it will be released on are not readily known. As previously mentioned, details regarding the third remake are expected to be revealed during Ryu Ga Gotoku’s livestream event. Development studio Ryu Ga Gotoku handled both previous remakes.
