AMD Quietly Lists Radeon RX 7700 Graphics Card, Price Unannounced
AMD has quietly listed the Radeon RX 7700 (non-XT) GPU, positioning this RDNA 3 graphics card for 1440p gaming and streaming. Recommended price and release date are not disclosed yet. Based on AMD’s own statistics in overlapping titles, the RX 7700 performs around 16-19% under the RX 7700 XT.
On September 18, 2025, AMD added the Radeon RX 7700 GPU on its official website, adding a new RX 7000 series graphics card without a formal announcement, MSRP, or release timing. AMD positions the video card as a 1440p-class choice for gaming PC builds, and the RX 7700 is already integrated into the Adrenalin software ecosystem, with all the accompanying features and benefits.
Radeon RX 7700 GPU Specifications
New graphics card from AMD pairs 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM running up to 19.5 Gbps with 40 MB of Infinity Cache, aiming for 1440p workloads. AMD rates typical board power at 263 W and recommends a 700 W PSU (GPU uses dual-8-pin connector).
The reference graphics card is 267 mm long, 2.5 slots, and features DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 for modern high refresh displays. On the software side, it ties into AMD Software with support for FidelityFX Super Resolution, Radeon Anti-Lag, Enhanced Sync, FreeSync, and more.
RX 7700 vs Other Midrange GPUs
Against AMD’s own products, the RX 7700 slots below the RX 7700 XT on raw computing power, but the new GPU has 16 GB of VRAM on a 256-bit memory interface versus 12 GB on a 192-bit interface of the XT model. Based on AMD’s own 1440p results for various games, the RX 7700 lands below the RX 7700 XT:
Taken together, that’s about a 16-19% deficit for the RX 7700 GPU on this small sample. In practice, you should expect lower raster performance than the XT model due to the reduced CU count and clocks, with the higher memory configuration acting as a safety net in VRAM-bound scenarios. The final value will depend on the price and AiB designs.
In the broader market, the RX 7700 XT’s primary competitor on the Nvidia side is the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB. That card competes in the same 1440p midrange, trades on DLSS with Frame Generation, and generally has strong ray tracing efficiency, so it’s reasonable to expect the new RX 7700 to square off against it as well.
XT is AMD’s suffix for a higher tier within the same GPU chip. XT graphics cards usually have higher clocks, sometimes more enabled compute units, and a higher power limit, so they run better and cost more than the non-XT version.
